Empowering Youth Through Martial Arts
kids kung fu
Our Kung-Fu Kids programme is designed for children aged 6-11. Our instructors are passionate about equipping children with self-defence skills that transcend the classroom. They aim to teach deeper principles that help children develop healthy boundaries, discipline, kindness and respect for peers.
We focus on the three requirements of traditional Kung Fu:
– Self-Defence
– Fitness
– Nurturing Health
Northern Shaolin Long Fist
The Northern Shaolin Long Fist style is a martial art based on the bare-handed forms of Shaolin kung fu. This style includes a wide variety of barehand and classical weapons in its training. In this style the postures are open and wide with a lot of emphasis on legwork and kicking. The weapons used in Northern Shaolin Long Fist are staff, saber, straight sword, spear and include double (two-man) sets. Northern Shaolin Long Fist is a very old style of Kung Fu with a history that dates back to the Song Dynasty (960-1279AD)
Hong Family Fist
The Hong Quan (洪拳) style was developed over many years by a number of famous kung fu schools in Southern China, including the Five Elders of Shaolin Temple and some modern masters who trace their lineage back to the original instructors. Among its many animal styles, the Hong Quan methods concentrate on tiger, crane, snake, leopard and dragon styles. The bare-hand sets include the famous Subduing Tiger Fist, Iron Wire and Tiger-Crane forms. The weapon forms include staff and sabre as well as more unique weapons such as halberd, iron fork, fan and umbrella
